Sorting data of process grid
The v10 application offers a powerful grid sorting feature that enables to create a personalized order for any given grid. You can:
Apply a simple sort order based on the data of one column (see Sorting the data of a grid according to a single column (simple sorting))
Apply an advanced sort order based on the data of several columns (see Sorting the data of a grid according to several columns (advanced sort))
Sorting the data of a grid according to a single column (simple sorting)
You can sort the data of a process grid in ascending or descending order according to the values of a given column. To do so, proceed as follows:
Open the process grid in which you want to work (see Viewing a Process in Managing the basic view feature).
Locate, in the process grid, the column according to which you want to sort the data of the grid.
Hover the cursor of your mouse over the header of the column.
Click the
icon locate at the right of the header. A contextual menu is displayed.

In the menu, select your preference:
Click Sort Up to sort the grid in ascending order according to the values of this field
Click Sort Down to sort the grid in descending order according to the values of this field
Your preference is applied and the grid is sorted on-the-fly.
Sorting the data of a grid according to several columns (advanced sort)
You can sort a process grid according to the data of several columns. This type of sorting is known as an advanced sort order.
To create an advanced sort order, proceed as follows:
Open the process with which you want to work (see Viewing a Process in Managing the basic view feature).
Click the Sort button in the process grid toolbar, located above the grid. A contextual menu is displayed.
Click Add a sort. A new line, in which you can select a column and an order is displayed, as illustrated in the following figure:

Select a column in the first drop-down list.
Select a sorting direction in the second drop-down (Ascending or Descending).
Repeat steps 3 to 5 for each sort criterion that you want to add.
Click the
icon next to the each sort order in order to move them in the list and determine the order in which each criterion will be applied.

Click Apply. The grid is filtered according to your selection:
Sort indicators (chevron up and chevron down) are applied to the column header and the chevron corresponding to the applied sort direction is colored in blue.
An indicator, corresponding to the number of sort criteria currently applied, is displayed next to the Sort button, in the grid toolbar.
Removing a sort order
Once you have defined an advanced sort order see (see Sorting the data of a grid according to several columns (advanced sort)), you can, at any time, remove one or several of the defined criteria.
To remove a sort order, proceed as follows:
In the relevant process, click Sort in the toolbar located above the process grid. The list of currently defined sort orders is displayed in a contextual menu.
Click the " X " located on the right of the sort order that you want to remove, as illustrated in the following figure:

Repeat step 2 for all the sort orders that you want to remove.
Click Apply to confirm your changes. The contextual menu closes and the new sort status is displayed next to the Sort button.
