Understanding the concept of Feature Flags

During your navigation withing this Knowledge Base, you may encounter the notion of "Feature Flag".

A Feature Flag is a function toggle in the v10 that enables your system administrator to activate or deactivate a feature for a certain duration.

If the feature is new in the application, you may see a completely new set of possibilities associated to the Feature Flag. If the Feature Flag activates an update to an existing feature, you will no longer have access to the previous version of the feature. You will only see the latest implementation offered by beqom.

The duration for which Feature Flags can be toggled on or off is defined by beqom, according to a predefined calendar. Once the defined expiration date for a Feature Flag is reached, the new feature or the new version of the feature will be definitively integrated into v10.
