Editing a simulation scenario
When working on a simulation scenario, the v10 Web Application enables you to make some changes to the parameters of the simulation, such as:
The population(s) (see Editing a population attached to a simulation scenario)
The rule(s) (see Editing a rule condition attached to a simulation)
The data grid(s) (see Editing a data grid attached to a simulation scenario)
The process grid (see Editing the process grid attached to a simulation scenario)
Viewing the payees in a simulation population
Open the simulation scenario that you want to edit (see Viewing a Simulation Report in Managing simulations).
Click the Edit Simulation button, located in the lower-right corner of the application window. The simulation scenario is opened on the "Analyze" tab.
Open the "Populations" tab.
In the "Modified Populations" frame, select the population that you want to edit. The population opens in the "Criteria" sub-tab.
Open the "Preview" sub-tab of the population details. This tab contains the full list of payees who match the criteria defined for the population.
Editing a population attached to a simulation scenario
For simulation purposes, you can edit the criteria of the population(s) included in the simulation scenario. By doing this, you will change the list of payees belonging to the population.
To edit a population associated to a simulation scenario, proceed as follows:
Open the simulation scenario that you want to edit (see Viewing a Simulation Report in Managing simulations).
Click the Edit Simulation button, located in the lower-right corner of the application window. The simulation scenario is opened on the "Analyze" tab.
Open the "Populations" tab.
In the "Modified Populations" frame, select the population that you want to edit. The population opens in the "Criteria" sub-tab.
-
Make the changes that you wish to apply:
In the "Operators" section, you can see the list of all available operators to create a condition.
In the "Business Objects" section, you can see all available criteria.
The "Objects Values" section displays all values available for the selected criterion.
In the "Criteria" section, define your formula. You can type a criterion name, an operator and then a value (if you want, you can insert a value from the "Objects Values" section by clicking the Add button on the right of the criterion). The system suggests you criteria and values as you type, as illustrated in the following figure:
Condition creation
If required, you can add another condition using the "AND" and "OR"operators.
Click Test in the bottom right corner to check that the condition is valid. If your condition is valid, a success message is displayed at the top of the application window. (If your condition is not valid, a red error message is displayed. In this case, correct your formula, and then test it again.)
In the "Preview" tab, you can check which payees are retrieved by the defined condition (see Viewing the payees in a simulation population).
Click Save in the bottom right corner of the application window. A success message is displayed and the population criteria are saved.
Click the "Preview" sub-tab to view the list of payees that satisfy the criteria defined for the population.
Editing a rule condition attached to a simulation
For simulation purposes, you can edit the criteria and the calculation formula of the rule conditions attached to a simulation scenario. To do so, proceed as follows:
Open the simulation scenario that you want to edit (see Viewing a Simulation Report in Managing simulations).
Click the Edit Simulation button, located in the lower-right corner of the application window. The simulation scenario is opened on the "Analyze" tab.
Open the "Rules" tab.
In the "Modified Rules" frame, select the rule condition that you want to edit. The rule condition opens in the "Criteria" sub-tab.

Open the "Calculation" sub-tab.
Repeat steps 5 to 10 to edit the calculation formula of the rule condition.
Editing a data grid attached to a simulation scenario
For simulation purposes, you can edit the grid(s) attached to a simulation scenario. To do so, proceed as follows:
Open the simulation scenario that you want to edit (see Viewing a Simulation Report in Managing simulations).
Click the Edit Simulation button, located in the lower-right corner of the application window. The simulation scenario is opened on the "Analyze" tab.
Open the "Parameters" tab.
In the "Modified Grids" frame, select the data grid that you want to edit.

Perform your changes in the grid:
Edit the data of the grid
Add rows to the grid
Export/import data
Click Save in the lower-right corner of the application window.
