Configuring the workflow validation comment window
When working in a process grid configured with a workflow, managers can submit or revoke a specific step of the workflow for a given employee with the possibility to write a comment in a contextual window. This article focuses on how to create a workflow and explains how to configure the validation and invalidation comment window in the Admin Portal .
Creating a Workflow
First of all, the process in which you want to work must be configured with a workflow. This operation is done in the beqom Admin Portal, as described below:
- Open the (Undefined variable: CompoVariables_AP.Design).
- Right click the Processes drop-down to create a new process or select an existing one.
- In the Process Properties tab, check the Use workflow parameter to enable the workflow parameters.
- Click Setup > Workflow.
- Create a workflow step by clicking the
icon. - Enter a name for the step.
- Drag and drop the relevant profile(s) from the "Profiles List" column to the "Profiles Assigned to Permission Group" column.
- Set up the permissions as follows:
- select a level and a level option in the drop-down (e.g. "Only this Level" to only give access to the step to this node level)
- select the permissions to grant to the profile: validate, invalidate, mass validation and/or mass invalidation
- In the "Indicator Configuration" table, check the Visible and/or Editable column parameter(s).
- Click Save. The workflow step has been created.
Configuring the Workflow Comment Window
To configure the workflow comment window in the Web App, proceed as follows:
- Go to the Admin Portal and open the (Undefined variable: CompoVariables_AP.Design).
- Expend the Processes drop-down and select the grid with a workflow in which you want to work.
- Click Setup > Workflow > Settings.
- Choose the following options for Validation Comment and Invalidation Comment:
- Optional: a comment can be added if needed but it is not mandatory in order to validate or invalidate the workflow step
- Mandatory: a comment must be added in order to validate or invalidate the workflow step
- Disabled: the validation or invalidation comment window is disabled
- Click the
icon. The new configuration is saved.
