Interacting with an Advanced Analytics report as a report viewer
This document describes the Advanced Analytics report activities related to the "Viewer" role in the beqom Web Application. The "Viewer" role is corresponds to the most common level of permission on an Advanced Analytics report; users whose profile has been granted that role can perform the following actions on Advanced Analytics reports:
View report data according to the row-level security
Punctually modify the report view, without possibility of saving those changes
Load default filters and edit the filters
Export widgets in image, CSV or XLS format, depending on the type of the widget
All activities related to the "Viewer" role on Advanced Analytics reports are performed in the (Undefined variable: CompoVariables_WA.Analysis) of the beqom TCM Web Application interface. This article assumes that the correct permissions have already been granted.
Opening an Advanced Analytics Report
As an Advanced Analytics report viewer, you can view and interact with reports that have been shared with you under the (Undefined variable: CompoVariables_WA.Analysis) of the Web Application interface. To open an Advanced Analytics report, proceed as follows:
Open the (Undefined variable: CompoVariables_WA.Analysis) by clicking the
icon in the navigation bar.
In the left-hand menu of the component, click the "Advanced Analytics" folder. The list of Advanced Analytics reports available to you is opened in the center panel.
Locate in the list of reports the Advanced Analytics report that you want to open. If required, filter the list using the search bar located above the list.
Click the box corresponding to the report. The report is opened in view mode, as illustrated in the following figure:

Understanding the Structure of an Advanced Analytics Report
Once you have opened an Advanced Analytics report for viewing, the report is displayed to you in its default view. The default view of an Advanced Analytics report is the appearance given to the report and its widgets by its creator, this includes:
Location and order of the widgets
Size of the widgets
Filters available in the filter panel
Default filters applied to individual widgets or to the report as a whole
As a viewer, you will not be able to change the default view of an Advanced Analytics report, but you will be able to perform some changes:
You can filter the report using the filter panel and the individual filters provided by the owner of the report
You can click some parts of individual widgets to filter the report
You can drill down in certain widgets
Filtering an Advanced Analytics Report
Filtering from the Filter Panel
If the report owner added filters to the filter panel, you will be able to use these filters to filter the Advanced Analytics report that you are currently viewing according to the available parameters.
To use the filter panel, proceed as follows:
Open the (Undefined variable: CompoVariables_WA.Analysis), and then open the report with which you want to work. The Advanced Analytics report is displayed, with the filter panel located on the right.

Change the selection of the filter by:
Expanding the filter by clicking the down chevron located on the left side of each individual filter, and then making the selection of your choice, OR
Clicking the pen icon to open the filter edition pop-up, and then making the selection of your choice.
The following figure illustrates both methods to change the selection applied in an individual filter:

Filtering from Individual Widgets
You also have the possibility to filter the report from individual widgets. To do so, proceed as follows:
Open the (Undefined variable: CompoVariables_WA.Analysis), and then open the report with which you want to work.
Locate the widget that you want to use to filter the report.
Click the value that you want to use as a filter. For instance, in a pie chart, you can click one section of the pie chart to filter the rest of the report according to that section.
Clearing Filters
To clear filters that you have applied to the Advanced Analytics report, you have two possibilities:
Return each individual filter to its original state using the procedure describe above for filtering using the filter panel.
Refresh the report. This method will clear all the filters that you have applied to the report and return it to its default view.
Drilling Down into a Widget
In addition to filtering, you can, as an Advanced Analytics report viewer, drill down into widgets in order to get an in-depth view of your data.
To drill-down into a widget in an Advanced Analytics report, proceed as follows:
Open the (Undefined variable: CompoVariables_WA.Analysis), and then open the report with which you want to work.
Locate the widget in which you want to drill down.
Right click on the relevant part of the widget. For instance, in a pie chart, that would an individual section of the chart. A contextual menu is opened.
Click Drill Into. The data browser window is displayed.
Select the field into which to drill down. The widget is automatically updated.
The following figure illustrates an example of drill down. The chart on the left, which corresponds to the original widget in the report, displays the breakdown by gender for a population. The chart on the right represent a drill-down on the "Female" segment of the original chart to show the age breakdown among the segment.

Removing Drill-Down Levels
You have several possibilities to remove drill-down levels applied to widgets in the chart:
Click an upper level in the breadcrumb located above the widget to remove the levels below it.
Click the X icon located on the left of the breadcrumb to remove all the drill-down levels on an individual widget.
Refresh the report to remove all drill-down levels in the report. Please keep in mind that this operation will also remove all filters applied to the report.
Exporting a Widget
Depending on the type of widget, you have the possibility, as an Advanced Analytics report viewer, to export the widget in XLS, CSV or image format.
To export a widget, proceed as follows:
Open the (Undefined variable: CompoVariables_WA.Analysis), and then open the report with which you want to work.
Locate the widget that you want to export.
Click the
located in the upper-right corner of the widget. A contextual menu is opened.
Hover your mouse cursor over the download option. A secondary contextual menu is displayed.
Select the option that you want to use for the export, as illustrated in the following figure:
