Performing the Initial Configuration of the Rapide Template
Before you can proceed to the customization of the beqom Rapide data model or to the loading of data within the data model, you need to perform a number of basic configuration steps that will ensure that all the actions that you perform in Rapide yield the expected results.
Configuring Global Settings
The "Global Settings" grid contains a number of parameter that apply to the data load procedure (for more information, refer to Loading Data Manually into the beqom Rapide Template and to Loading Data into the Rapide Data Model Using Azure Data Factory).
There are however a number of generic parameters that apply to the Rapide template as a whole and must be configured. To configure these parameters, proceed as follows:
Open the beqom TCM application in the Web App interface, and then open the (Undefined variable: CompoVariables_WA.Data).
Navigate to Global Settings > Global Setting.
-
In the grid, configure the following parameters as described in the table below:
Data Model Extension
Display Label for id_payee
Unique key for payee
Click Save in the lower-right corner of the application window. The generic global settings are now defined.
The following table describes the parameters that you need to configure in the Global Setting grid:
| Parameter Name | Description | Available Options |
|---|---|---|
| Data Model Extension |
This option determines whether any extension of the data model is allowed. This option is always set to Yes and cannot be changed. Therefore, the following actions are always available:
For more information about data model extension, refer to Extending the beqom Rapide Data Model. |
Yes |
| Display Label for id_payee |
This option specifies the value that should be displayed in the following grids/grid field pairs:
|
|
| Unique key for payee | This option stipulates what constitutes a business key for employees. This information is used in the template back-end. |

Configuration of the "Global Settings" grid
Configuring the "Global Setting Dictionary Synchronization" Grid
The parameters contained in this grid are related to the "Data Model Extension" parameter mentioned in the previous section. Since this parameter is always enabled, the parameters in this grid are always available and must be configured. They enabled you to performed a more refined configuration of the authorizations related to the extension of the data model.
To configure this grid, proceed as follows.
Make sure you are in the (Undefined variable: CompoVariables_WA.Data) of the TCM Web Application interface, and then navigate to Data Management > Data Model > Data Model Settings > Global Setting Dictionary Synchronization. You notice that the grid contains only one row.
Click the row available in the grid. A child grid called Global Setting Parameter Dictionary Synchronization is opened in a secondary panel under the parent grid.
Configure the parameters as described in the table below.
Click Save in the lower-right corner of the application window. The global setting dictionary synchronization parameters are now configured.
The following table describes the parameters that you can configure in the Global Setting Dictionary Synchronization grid:
| Global Setting Parameter Name | Description | Available Options |
|---|---|---|
| Allow computed formula rollback | This option enables you to specify whether the unsychnonization of added custom computed formulas is allowed. | True/False |
| Allow core payee extension rollback | This option enables you to specify whether the unsychnonization of custom extended payee fields is allowed. | True/False |
| Allow custom referential rollback | This option enables you to specify whether the unsychnonization of custom referential tables is allowed. | True/False |
Configuring the Payee Situation Compensation Components
Now that you have configure the generic settings, you can proceed to the configuration of the compensation components which are used in the custom data and that are supposed to be available in the Payee Situation grid (located under Data > Loaded Data > Loaded Data Payee).
In the Payee Situation Compensation Component, you can define, from a list of available compensation components, the components that will be available int he Payee Situation grid.
To define the compensation components, proceed as follows:
Make sure you are in the (Undefined variable: CompoVariables_WA.Data) of the TCM Web Application interface, and then navigate to Data Management > Data Model > Data Model Settings > Payee Situation Compensation Component.
Click the Add a Row button, located in the lower-left corner of the grid panel. A new row is added to the grid.
In the Compensation Component column, select in the component that you want to use in Payee Situation. The drop-down list contains all the values available in the Display Label Compensation Component column of the Ref Compensation Component grid.
In the Order in Payee Situation column, define the order that you want to give to the component in the Payee Situation grid.
Check the Is Used in Payee Situation box to signal that you want the component to be used in the Payee Situation Grid. This box must be checked to be able to use the component in the Payee Situation grid; if you only add the row in this grid and don't check the box, the compensation component will then not be available.
Click Save in the lower-right corner of the grid panel.
Repeat steps 2-6 for each compensation component that you want to add.
Once the compensation components have been added, they are available in Payee Situation. However, in the Payee Situation grid, the components are not added as columns. Instead, they are used to build specific columns according to a defined pattern.
Consider the following example:
In the Payee Situation Compensation Component, the following compensation components have been selected:
BS - Base Salary, with the following parameters: Order in Payee Situation = 1; Is used in Payee Situation = Yes
BON - Bonus, with the following parameters: Order in Payee Situation = 2; Is used in Payee Situation = Yes
LTI - LTI, with the following parameters: Order in Payee Situation = 3; Is used in Payee Situation = No
Based in this configuration, the following columns are created:
-
For the BS - Base Salary component, the following columns are created:
Compensation BS display label compensation component
Compensation BS display label currency
Compensation BS display label reason for change comp
Compensation BS display label compensation component percentage basis
Compensation BS annual amount
Compensation BS actual amount
Compensation BS percentage
-
For the BON - Bonus component, the following columns are created:
Compensation BON display label compensation component
Compensation BON display label currency
Compensation BON display label reason for change comp
Compensation BON display label compensation component percentage basis
Compensation BON annual amount
Compensation BON actual amount
Compensation BON percentage
Configuring the "Referential Message Grid" Grid
The grid Referential Message Grid contains the Rapide template error messages displayed in the application when using Rapide as a result of specific actions performed by the user. Most of those messages indicate that the action performed by the user is not correct and point to a solution for the issue.
For each message, 12 languages are available: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Turkish, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan), Japanese, Polish and Russian.
The grid is broken down as follows:
Grid Name: indicated the grid in relation to which the message is displayed. Messages can be displayed after adding, updating or deleting a row.
Message Grid: topic or description of the message.
Culture: language of the message.
Default Text Message Grid: message text displayed on screen. This value is used by default. If a value is entered in the Custom Text Message Grid field, then this message supersedes the default message text.
Custom Text Message Grid: custom message text displayed on screen. When a value is defined in this field, then it has priority over the default value provided in the Default Text Message Grid field.
Description Parameter Message: for messages that contain variables, this column indicates what the variable stands for.
To define a custom error message, proceed as follows:
Make sure you are in the (Undefined variable: CompoVariables_WA.Data) of the TCM Web Application interface, and then navigate to Global Settings > Referential Message Grid.
Locate the message that you want to customize. You can use the various filters offered by the interface to locate the correct message. For more information about data grid filtering options, refer to Filtering a data grid.
-
Locate the row corresponding to the language for which you want to enter a custom message. In the Culture column, the codes correspond to the following languages:
en-US: English
fr-FR: French
de-DE: German
it-IT: Italian
es-ES: Spanish
pt-BR: Portuguese (Brazil)
tr-TR: Turkish
zh-CN: Chinese (Simplified)
zh-TW: Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan)
ja-JP: Japanese
pl-PL: Polish
ru-RU: Russian
Enter the custom message of your choice in the Custom Text Message Grid field.
Click Save in the lower-right corner of the grid panel.
Repeat steps 2-5 for all the messages that you want to customize.
