Activating & configuring the basic process grid export feature
The basic process grid export is a convenient feature of the process grids in the beqom TCM v10 application. It enables you to export to Excel the raw data of a process grid, without calculations or filters, and without macro. It makes it possible to manipulate the data outside of the application.
This is an attention message.
It is not possible to reimport in the application data that has been exported using the basic export feature.
Prerequisites
For the basic process grid export feature to be visible in a process grid and function as expected, the process grid must be configured to allow data export in the Admin Portal interface, under (Undefined variable: CompoVariables_AP.Admin2) > Design > Processes > <ProcessName> > Process Properties.
Activating the Basic Export Feature
Access to the basic export feature is configured by profile. For users to see the Basic Export button in the Web App interface of the TCM v10 application, their profile must have been granted the proper permission.
To grand a profile access to the basic export feature, proceed as follows:
Log in to the beqom TCM v10 application and then open the Admin Portal interface.
Open the (Undefined variable: CompoVariables_AP.Admin), and then navigate to Settings Management > Function Admin > Profiles. The list of profiles currently defined in the application is displayed in a grid.
Click the row corresponding to the profile to which you want to grant access. A sub-panel is displayed under the grid.
In the sub-panel, open the Process tab.
In the Modules Tree panel of the tab, click Hierarchy View. The corresponding permissions are displayed on the right of the tree.
Check the Basic Export box in the list of permissions.
Click the save icon located in the lower-left corner of the configuration panel. The profile now has access to basic process grid export.
Configuring the Page Size of the Basic Export
When exporting large process grids with important quantities of data, the basic process grid export can take some time and performance issues are to be anticipated. To mitigate this risk, it is possible to define, at application scale, the paging size of the export. In other words, the application will export the process grids in chunks of the defined size (number of rows), instead of attempting to export an entire process grid in a single batch.
To define the paging size of the basic export feature, proceed as follows:
Log in to the beqom TCM v10 application and then open the Admin Portal interface.
Open the (Undefined variable: CompoVariables_AP.Admin), and then navigate to Settings Management > Technical Admin > Process.
In the Process section of the page, locate the Basic Export Paging Size field.
Define the size of the export chunks that you want to use. The default value is 1000 rows.
Click the Save icon located in the lower-left corner of the panel. Your setting is now saved and will be applied at the next export.
